About Brooke

I am a former high school teacher with 5 years of experience teaching Biology, Life Science, Cell Biology, Ecology, Anatomy & Physiology and Advanced Placement Biology. I love making science fun and have creative hands-on activities and games to engage all types of learning styles. I teach with enthusiasm and excitement about these subjects. I am able to teach any age. After teaching high school I worked as a laboratory scientist for 19 years in hospital and research labs, in the areas of molecular genetics and chemistry testing. Current I am a live in caregiver for my in-laws and have small stints of time available for tutoring. I graduated in 1998 with a B. S. in Biology and a B. S. in Secondary Education from Bloomsburg University. My teaching certification was not renewed after leaving the teaching field. I have a peppy personality and teach with patience and enthusiasm. I have a dog and a cat, love being outdoors and enjoy traveling with my husband and dog.
