About Brooke H

I am an experienced early elementary teacher with over 20 years of experience. My passion is Language Arts, tutoring young students with reading and writing skills. I'd describe my personality as bubbly, engaging and detail oriented. I like tutoring because it allows me to help students learn in their preferred way. It's important for me to understand what road blocks are preventing a student's learning process, then present materials differently for them to grasp. I'm looking for a job that allows me to engage with and tutor early readers and writers. I hope to help students tap into their phonetic skills and find a joy in reading and writing. In my spare time, I like to explore trails and parks in the Northeast and beyond! I also do Pilates, knit, craft and enjoy cooking shows. One thing you should know about me is I am highly dependable and very creative. My skills include listening, presenting materials in many different ways, and a wide knowledge of literacy materials.
