I completed school to become a state registered CNA in 2001. I have been working in the healthcare field ever since. After several years of working in nursing homes, I decided to pursue private home care services. I had witnessed too much neglect and negativity associated with many aides I had to work alongside with in the nursing homes. I would quickly become a "favorite" among my residents because they recognized that I provided them with quality care which was dependable, respectable and genuine. I always treated them with dignity as if I were caring for my grandparents. Unfortunately, I was always one of the few that took my position seriously and eventually, I decided that I wanted to provide more one-on-one care in order to ensure that the level of care and safety could be consistently provided and maintained for at least one person who deserves this much. I enjoy the personal relationships I develop with my patients and their loved ones. I have experience with all kinds of lifts and transfer methods. I have also specialized in Alzheimer's care having worked on a locked down Alzheimer's unit and have received extra training for dementia and Alzheimer's. I have several references available upon request.
