My husband suffered for from a brain injury that caused him for a time, to re-enter a stage of "infancy." He regained some ability,. We did what we could together. Went for walks (with walker or wheelchair), practiced speech, played cards as he was able (War) & any games with blocks & things to increase his coordination. Mental games as able. He had to be bathed, fed (and I worked a lot with him on that), diapered. Eventually, he passed away from this. Again, caring for him taught me to further love and have patience during very trying times. Our daughter was diagnosed at a very early age with anxiety and depression. . I took numerous parenting classes.... even going to UCLA for a course on avoiding conflict & conflict resolution. Today at 27, she one of the finest human beings on the planet. For the last 4 years, I've taken part time care pf an incredible mentally handicapped 7-year-old. We great love for each other and m considered family.
