Dedicated Home Care Specialist Hi, I'm Brittney. My passion for home care began when I started caring for my father after his stroke. This personal experience taught me the importance of empathy and quality care. I understand the challenges families face and am committed to providing compassionate, personalized support to enhance the quality of life for your loved ones. Let me bring the same dedication to your family as I do to my own.
Unfortunately, my experience with Brittany as a caregiver was disappointing and concerning. During her shifts, she frequently spent time on her phone instead of engaging with the client, assisting with household responsibilities, or staying proactive with care needs. Basic caregiving and household duties were repeatedly left undone. Multiple times, the kitchen, refrigerator, and stove were left dirty, trash cans were overflowing or missing liners, laundry was left sitting in the washer, and packages and recycling boxes were not processed as requested. Other caregivers also reported routinely arriving to unfinished tasks from prior shifts. Meal preparation and attention to the client’s daily needs were also lacking. On one occasion, the client had not been offered lunch by nearly 4:00 PM and had only eaten cereal earlier in the day, with popcorn later offered instead of a proper meal. There were also occasions where dinner was served around 9:00 PM even though the client’s normal bedtime is approximately 7:00 PM. One of the most serious concerns involved a medication mistake where nighttime medications were given in the morning despite the medication organizer being clearly labeled AM and PM. This caused the client to become excessively fatigued throughout the day due to sedating nighttime medications. Medication management requires careful attention, and mistakes of this nature are concerning. In addition, routine responsibilities involving the household pets were overlooked, including the dogs not being fed during day shift responsibilities and requiring the night caregiver to feed them later. Overall, I did not feel the level of care, attention to detail, and follow-through met the standards required for this caregiving position. Based on my experience, I would not hire her again.
