I have worked closely with the special needs children at my job, the Boys and Girls Club, and that is what drove me towards majoring in Special Education. Working with them has really shown me patience and how to be passionate about something like I never have before. I was always extremely close with all of my kiddos at the Boys and Girls Club, but there was something special about my relationship with my special needs kiddos. They always seem to make my day better just by having them around, and I am glad I have found something I am so passionate about. I also have a minor in American Sign Language which gives me a bit of an advantage to an extent.
