About Brit

Over the last 15 years, I have worked with children of all ages in the role of: a nanny, summer camp director, family photographer, dance instructor, preschool t. a., substitute teacher, and after-school clubs leader. I have supervised children from ages 3 months - 17 years. I absolutely love working with children; they always seem to delight me and keep me present. I strongly believe in keeping a positive & compassionate environment for children to thrive in. I like to nurture their growth by creating opportunities for them to engage their head, hearts, and hands. I also like to implement some of the Montessori and Waldorf philosophies by having routine, encouraging them to help with cooking/cleaning/other tasks, giving them options to make choices, and playing music/setting a timer/singing songs when needing to transition. Lastly, I really enjoy teaching children various calming rituals for when they're needing to regulate their nervous systems.
