Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching practice. With 38 years of elementary education teaching experience, I focus on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning rather than simple memorization. I assess your child's unique learning style through active listening and observation, tailoring my approach with visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions to suit their needs. When concepts become challenging, I break them into manageable steps and celebrate every small success to maintain momentum. I prioritize clear, consistent communication with parents to ensure we remain a collaborative team. Witnessing that "aha!" moment when a student finally masters a difficult skill remains the most rewarding part of my work. I hold a graduate degree and am happy to meet at your home or the local library. I truly look forward to helping your student grow and succeed.
