I have been working with special needs children and teens for about seven years now and am currently attending Grand Valley State University to be a special education teacher. All through middle and high school I was a buddy in the special needs classrooms and loved it! A buddy is set up to walk day to day with the students and help them learn and be a part of their lives. The buddies program changed my life, for sure! This is definitely my passion and I look forward to spending the rest of my life dedicated to these children.
