My name is Brian and I am offering my services as an Autistic and Special Education Caregiver/Consultant. Member of the Autism Society and References readily available. Please look at my Special Needs profile, certified CarePro. I have a form of Autism called Asperger's Syndrome. This gives me a unique and effective understanding of fellow individuals on the Autism Spectrum. I seek to engage my students in learning, to organically grow their curiosity in the material, utilizing techniques such as Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Natural Environment Training, Discrete Trial Training, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have over 20 years care giving/tutoring experience and am patient, firm, and fun. I have experience working with ADD, ADHD, Autism, Non-verbal, physically challenged, , APD and LPD, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyspraxia, Executive Function Deficit, Dyslexia, and related challenges.
Working with Brian was truly equivalent to winning the lottery; he goes well beyond being a caregiver. During the several years Brian worked for us, he was dedicated to creating engaging learning and healing opportunities for my adult son. He would typically arrive with three activity choices, allowing my son to choose his preferred outing. Brian carefully orchestrated each day according to my son's mood and cognitive ability, skillfully shifting expectations and activities as my son’s engagement levels changed throughout the day. Beyond his professional skills, Brian has a tremendous heart. When a close friend of mine passed away, Brian made it possible for me to attend the funeral and co-host a reception by covering the entire day for me. He even rescheduled several other clients to his personal day off to ensure I had the time I needed to grieve with my friends. We only stopped working with Brian because we moved across the country, and my son still stays in contact with him today. We truly felt we had won the lottery when we found Brian, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
