About Brian

Hi, I am a 21-year-old, pursuing a degree in elementary education from Western Carolina University. I love working with kids, and can't wait to get to know you and your family! I started working with kids when I was in middle school, volunteering in my church's nursery to provide childcare for parents attending church events. In high school, I ran a summer camp in my backyard, took child development classes, and participated in a student teaching program. I have over five years experience working in preschools and childcare centers with children as young as 3 months old. In addition to my normal teaching coursework, I have also completed certifications to teach Academically/Intellectually Gifted children. I want to teach because I love helping children solve problems and learn, and the classroom is full of unique and fun leadership challenges every day!
