About Briana

I'd describe my personality as resilient, kind, and silly (when appropriate, I think a laugh can go a long way!) I started working with kids while I was in college and would babysit here and there. Once I graduated, I worked in a DV shelter for 2 years providing advocacy for women and children fleeing from abuse. I am currently working as a parent educator teaching parents who have children in foster care how to be more nurturing parent and create a household in which children can thrive. In my spare time, I like to read a good book or throw on my roller skates and skate around the neighborhood My skills include understanding child development and behavior, using alternatives to corporal punishment (I will never use physical discipline and prefer to be in a household where that is not used), and understanding how to support our children in building a strong sense of self worth and high self esteem.
