I'd describe my personality as approachable and empathetic, and I like to lead with humor. I like tutoring because I get the share in the excitement of that "eureka!" moment when a concept clicks for my student. I started tutoring during undergrad in 2017, when I worked as an instructor over the summer for iD Tech summer camps. I also volunteered at Lincoln High School in Tacoma in AP coding courses. I then started working as a tutor for the computer science department at my university. Finally, I continued working as a private tutor adjacent to my engineering career after graduating. My skills include programming, math, French (learned while living in France), Japanese, and game design. I will also instill good time and project management skills, showing students how to keep track of their tasks while working towards a long term goal. I scored a 34 on my ACT, so I'm confident I can help your student with test prep too.
