I've spent over 35 years supporting individuals with diverse abilities, who need specialized care. I grew up helping care for my little sister with Down syndrome. I know the joys and the unique challenges that families encounter when they have a child or family member who needs care. My experience includes a 24-year career with Orange County Department of Education. I also spent decades providing in-home care. I enjoy building relationships, celebrating progress, and helping each individual discover their strengths and abilities! It brings me so much joy! I have extensive experience caring for individuals with a wide variety of syndromes and developmental disabilities. Many years were spent with students who had severe behavioral challenges. My approach is calm, patient, and fun! Safety, dignity, and respect are my top priorities. I would for sure support routines, behavior goals, life skills, independence, and community participation while providing dependable, compassionate care.
