When I graduated high school in 1982 I lived in somebody's home in bondurant, Iowa took care of their dad, help him get dressed, prepare meals and bath him. Than when I was done with that job I moved to Carlisle, Iowa I worked at Carlisle nursing home. I don't remember how many years. Did all kinds of needs for the elderly.
