I am a mother of three beautiful and successful grown children. My passion has always been in working with and teaching children of all ages. My most recent experience has been with a 2. 5-year-old and a 3. 5-year-old (11 months apart), I have been with the children and family since the oldest was born. I enjoy spending my days in the outdoors with the kids dancing, singing, reading, playing catch, basketball, exploring through nature walks and doing arts + crafts - these are some of the many things I love to do with the children I am taking care of. I am bilingual and fluent in Spanish and at the request of the family that employees me, I have taught both children Spanish. By nature, I am high energy so I love to be active with my kids. I am a very patient person with a maternal demeanor. I look forward to learning about your family. Other duties that I been responsible for while taking care of the children, administering anti seizure medication for newborn + daily PT with newborn.
Brenda is truly a gifted caretaker. Me and my family are forever grateful to her for helping us adjust to a family of 4 (+ 1 doggy). She started working with us the day we brought home our newborn from the hospital, until he started daycare at 7 months old. She is warm and kind and eager to help. She was quick to pick up on everything and would jump in and help wherever it was needed. Eventually, we established a routine together that worked seamlessly for us in the early days, through returning to work from parental leave. Brenda's responsibilities included dog walking first thing in the morning, then help get our 5 year old ready for school. She drove him there, too (1 mile away). When she returned from school drop off she would care for the baby. Including diaper changes, tummy/play time, bottles, holding/soothing him, singing to him, and putting down for naps. She also does the best swaddles I've ever seen! When the baby was cozy and comfy while napping, Brenda did daily housework. She would tidy the kitchen and living areas, restock the changing station, clean and sterilize bottles and pump parts, and she even would tidy our room and make our bed. When Brenda left for the day, my home felt so good to be in and my baby and dog were always so happy. Brenda feels like family to us and we truly hit the jackpot when we found her. To the next family that gets the honor of hiring Brenda, know that she is one of a kind! Good helpers are not easy to find. Hire her quickly because she is not going to be available for long. She is the best!
