Hello, I am now retired and during the last stage of my career, both my mother and my father started experiencing aging. I do understand the onset of dementia and the repetitive issues that our loved ones go through, which sometimes can include resisting care or even attention at times. Depending on other medical issues it can be quite a challenge. We think no one understands and I believe that I do . 10 1/2 years of progressive with my parents. Both parents have passed now and many months later I am ready to assist again, although I don't have professional medical experience yet, I am quite sure there hasn't been much I have not experienced when it comes to aging or caregiving. And yes, I can do light housekeeping, administer medications with a clear written schedule, prepare meals and straighten up around the home. Pets are fine. Although I would be part-time, I would be able to be flexible.
