About Brenda

I currently am ending an almost 2 year employment caring for a 100-year-old WWII Veteran. 37 hours a week, plus occasional subbing as a Caregiver in in home elder care. I have worked with adults with Parkinson disease as well as other chronic illnesses. I do things like driving to help shop. Walk dogs. Drive to appointments. Light housework, like laundry and dishwashing, bed making. Remind and give meds. Prepare simple meals. Companion for walks etc. I have also done overnights with seniors in hospice care. I have worked with men and women with slight to severe dementia with patience and understanding and kindness. I m capable, dependable and caring. I have 6 children of my own, all adults now. I m a visual artist. I enjoy dance classes and nature walks. I homeschooled my children for many years. I really love elder care and chronic illness care - it is fulfilling to help people remain as independent as they can be for as long as they can.
