I am a compassionate and energetic caregiver with 20+ years experience caring for children. Working with kids is my calling and I am blessed to have so many opportunities to do so through my jobs and volunteer work. I am a certified teacher for pre-K through grade 3, who previously taught grades 1 and 3. I am currently a master substitute teacher with experience from pre-K to adult education. Brenda is very professional at all times.

Brenda was amazing! Our kids loved her and talked about her for days! You can tell she really cares. She engaged with the kids, didn't watch TV and did activities with them the whole time!

My kids love Brenda and beg to go visit her if they haven't seen her for a while. She always has fun crafts and activities for the kids to do.

Brenda is a wonderful caregiver to my two girls.  She brings games, books, crafts, sings with them, bakes with them and more.  She always has activities planned and brings a "treasure box" for reward and my kids love it. I don't know the person who wrote the negative review and from the sound of her review she doesn't know Brenda at all.  We HIGHLY recommend Brenda and trust her totally.

My wife and I have 2 young children - a boy (5 years) and a girl (3 years).  We are from Nashville, TN and vacation several times a year in the Seaside and Rosemary Beach areas.  We found Brenda thru Care.com many years ago and now use her for every vacation there.  Our family absolutely LOVES "Ms. Brenda"!!  She is engaging to our children, always brings a ton of toys and our children miss her every time she leaves.  Most importantly, my wife and I are confident that we we leave our children in the care of "Ms. Brenda", they will be in very good hands!  She does not just plop them in front of the t.v., but sits on the floor with them and plays games and crafts with them.  Professionally, my wife is an Oncology Nurse and I own a small pre-hospital cardiac care company.  We absolutely recommend Brenda if you are looking for someone to care for your children.  She has become like family to us!

I have two lively girls that Brenda has been sitting with for two years.  She is the most dependable, loving and trustworthy sitter we have had.  The girls love her because she takes time with each one to make them feel special.  I would without a doubt recommend Brenda as a sitter for any family with small children.

My husband and I interviewed Brenda and she seemed like the perfect caretaker with all her extensive teaching and background experience. We decided to give her an opportunity regardless of the fact she's divorced and has no children of her own. That should have been the RED flag for us, but we decided not to judge harshly. When we first hired her we were very specific as to what we were looking for. My children don't need a mom they have one. She was not hired to tell me how to raise my children nor how to love them. Parents BEWARE - If you are paying for a service you expect nothing but that. Brenda told my children to call her Ms. Brenda. I'm sorry but that title is not very warm and inviting for children ages 2 and 4 especially coming from a caretaker. She doesn't know how to differentiate between caretaker and teacher. She lacks warmth in her heart and it's way too proper for smaller children. Had she been a mom perhaps she would have been able to connect and understand smaller children. Real moms deal with them 24 hours 7 days a week. Brenda knows no boundaries nor her place as a caretaker. She may sound all Christian but that's just an excuse to get you to hire her. I like respect and everyone that knows me can tell you I give respect to receive it. Without respect you have nothing. 

Brenda- Respect the families that invite you into their homes and give you the opportunity to work for them. Respect the children "you used the word animal when referring to my 4 year old daughter". Respect people's beliefs and cultures. You may not agree with them but that's not why you are hired. Lastly look around you, YOU are the one without a husband and a child. Caring for animals is not the same as having a family. The joy and love of having a family are very rewarding in the end. Especially when you experience first hand unconditional love through your own children. I will pray for you because you live in a very sad, depressing, bitter and confused world!!!

Brenda is an incredible volunteer with our children at church.  She shows up for weekly teaching and fills in last minute on a regular basis for others who cannot make it.  She is loved by the children and many are often jealous to see her with other groups of kids because they like to call her "theirs".
