My experience as a tutor begins when I was in elementary school being the go-to person for helping my friends with math homework. From there, I officially tutored my cousin in junior-high level math for a school semester in 2011. In 2013, I additionally tutored 2 junior-high aged girls in science and social sciences for 1 year, including English and grammar for one semester. I am especially equipped to transfer skills in mathematics as well as in writing and English. Additionally, in 2014, I was a collegiate tutor for the classes Physiological Psychology as well as Statistics of the Social Sciences. Having completed collegiate-level Calculus as well as Statistics, I feel I would be able to easily brush up on these concepts if needed. With over one year of experience as a learning coach at Learning Rx, a brain training company, I learned to equip students with skills needed for reading comprehension, logic and reasoning, long and short term memory and executive processing speed.
