About Braelyn

I have an early history of experience working with children. I began babysitting as a teenager and I was a volunteer camp counselor for individuals with disabilities for two summer sessions and assisted individuals in my high school as a Life Skills Peer Tutor. From the ages of 16-18, I was an assistant coach for a competitive gymnastics team. My freshman year of college I worked for America Reads at Arizona State University tutoring children ranging from first grade to eighth grade. This past year, I was a Specialist for the Arizona Department of Child Safety. Self-reflection has led me to realize my passion and skill set embodies being able to work with children in a more interactive capacity. I am currently taking online courses to pursue a career as a Child Life Specialist. These experiences involved providing a safe and healthy environment for children and have impacted my passion to advocate for and promote the well-being of children!
