I'm always the highlight of the kids day, and they view me as a friend more than a nanny! I pride myself on my ability to make excellent personal connections with children due to my energetic personality, and ability to get "on their level" so to speak, which helps develop a bond and trust. I use this bond to try and be a role model in how to navigate life from both a grown up and child perspective, but while also making sure the children realize growing up doesn't have to be scary--or, more importantly, it doesn't mean they have to lose their childlike spark.
