Hi! I'm Blake. thank you for checking out my profile. I'm new to formal babysitting but have lots of prior experience working with kids in various settings. I've spent three years working in a clinic with children with disabilities, as well as working as a substitute teacher. I have experience with everything from pre-school to high school ages. I'd describe my personality as personal, engaged, and kinda nerdy. One of the things I've learned over the years working with kids is the importance of forming interpersonal relationships. You have to really get to know them. Ideally, I would want to work with a family with similar values that prizes that interpersonal connection as much as I do. If I had to summarize three skills, redirection/de-escalation of emotional behavior, connecting with kids, and utilizing their interests.
