Ever since my sister was diagnosed with down syndrome when I was six my parents taught me my foundation of advocation and education about special needs. Since then I've worked for the government in Hawaii as a Personal Assitant to children/young adults in high school with autism and Down syndrome. I have also had to advocate and assist with my sisters speech therapy, motor skills/therapy, etc.
