Ever since I was a young child, I always had motherly instincts and was always very mature for my age. So when I tell people I started babysitting for a family of two at the age of 12, it seems crazy now but back then when I was 12, I felt 15. For five years I was the summer nanny for my cousin who worked as a charge nurse an hour away from home and her husband was just starting out as an owner of his mechanic shop. When I first started there they had two kids and then a year later they had another beautiful baby! I got to their house at 7 a.m. and usually left around 7 or 7:30 that evening. From breakfast to supper to giving baths, I did it all and wouldn't ever change it! I loved watching these kids grow and mature into the people they are today!
