I grew up taking care of my great grandmother. My responsibilities would include grocery shopping for her, sorting out her medication, cooking for her, keeping an eye on her while we were the only ones home, and much more. She also would deal with dementia and most times I would come up with ways to calm her and not break her slight dementia episodes as best as I could. My great grandmother (90 yrs old) at the time, still liked to cook. I would always assist her in the kitchen and help walk her back to her room. Most times she just wanted someone to watch her favorite telenovelas (Mexican soap operas) with. If that's just what I'm needed for, I'm beyond happy to do so.
