Nursing is more than a job, it's a calling. Upon graduation, in 2007, I began working as a staff RN on an orthopedic surgical floor of a 350-bed hospital. Our patient base is average 65 years of age. We care for our patients, before and after surgery up until the time to send them to rehab. There is no job as rewarding and fulfilling as taking your patients from pain to progress. I put my career on hold to raise my family and have a deep appreciation for what I do in making a difference in the lives of others.
