Need some help with home schooling? A different person for part of the day who can breath some fresh life into your routine? I'm happy to help! I LOVED teaching 1st & 2nd grade for 10 years. After I had children, I tutored elementary and middle school students for seven more years. Two of my three kids are on the autism spectrum, which has given me a fresh perspective into how children with differing abilities can learn. I enjoy tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to work one on one with a student, developing lessons plans tailored to each child's unique needs and interests. I'm looking for a job that allows me use my teaching skills while giving me flexibility. I enjoy collaborating with my students' parents, teachers, and therapists. My skills include data analysis (of a child's' skills), scaffolding so that I'm meeting a child where he/she is at, and creating lessons that tap into a child's interests.
