Hi my name is Ms. Betty, I was raised in rural southwest VA and have 6 brothers and sisters. I enjoy teaching children and watching their face shine with pride when they learn something new. Working with children is my passion and homeschooling my daughters for 24 years was such a fulfilling experience. I have also worked as a teacher, teacher's aide, substitute teacher, mentor, and tutor. The legacy that I hope to leave is being a blessing in a child's life. My daughter has benefitted tremendously from Betty's care and home-schooling style. She is committed to creating a safe and respectful environment and relationship. She also has a wonderful way of blending play with learning, (which is what we do naturally as children!) From helping our daughter in cooking projects, making natural play dough, reading together, math as play, etc, Betty weaves together a seamless experience for our daughter which has forged a lasting and healthy bond of trust and respect.
