I'm happy to assist them in; managing medications, appointments, social engagements, cooking healthy meals and light housekeeping. I would encourage getting outdoors and daily exercise routines as well as cognitive activities like scrabble, card games and reading, My previous employment experience consist of: Activity and Volunteer Coordinator, Activity Assistant, Elderly Companion, Physical Therapy Aide, Licensed Massage Therapist, Transportation Manager and Driver. I am a very safe driver. Iâ m passionate about working with seniors in my community and I enjoy assisting them to get the most out of every day. Their life experiences, wisdom and personal stories are so enriching and make this an interesting profession.

She has been helping my mom since January 8,2016 and her position will end April 22,2016 as I am moving my Mom to be closer to me. Betsy has worked approximately 30 hours a week. Some of her responsibilities have been medication management, meal preparation, groceries shopping,running errands, managing doctors appointments and transportation also they have gone out to some musical and religious events, which my Mom has truly enjoyed. During good weather, they go for walks in downtown Rye or at one of the parks in the area. When they are at home my Mom is encouraged to be as active as possible, doing daily chores that she enjoys and is capable of doing. They also engage in jigsaw puzzles, scrabble and card games. I am so thankful that I found Betsy. She has been very reliable, honest, patient and organized. It was hard at first for my Mom to except that she really needed someone to help her but Betsy made her feel at ease and this made the whole transition easier. Now Betsy is like part of the family and they really enjoy each others company. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for care for a family member.
