About Beth

I am the youngest of 14 children and have cared for little ones all my life, as my siblings and I gave our parents 59 grandchildren, 110 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. I spent most of my high school years babysitting for family and neighbors, even spending one summer caring for a neighbors children, ages 2 and 6, while they worked 9-5. At 16, I was responsible for breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and entertainment. I am now 65 and a proud mom of three young men, ages 35, 30 and 23. I am married 38 years. My oldest has Asperger's Syndrome and the youngest has ADHD. Their special needs have taught me more patience and understanding. I am a retired German/English teacher of grades 7-12. I gained the trust of my students' parents for their well-being in my classroom and on field trips, including five to Europe and one to China. I worked for one family locally for six years and another for 1. 5 years. I am currently able to help other families on an interim basis.
