About Beth

I am a wife and mother with two grown daughters. I worked in journalism until I stopped to raise my children. I have been working as a nanny for nine years, but my first personal care job was working for five years with a Parkinson's patient. We spent time talking, playing cards and games, and watching the occasional movie. One of our primary activities was working on a memory book of his life. He was the family storyteller, and we compiled those, along with memories stretching back to his youth in a cotton growing community in South Carolina. We also documented a fascinating collection of WWII letters from his uncle stationed in Europe. Working in journalism has provided me with the happy ability to make conversation with virtually anyone I may meet.
