Experience: 7 yrs
Hi, there! My name is Beth and I've been blessed to serve some wonderful families as a caregiver for about 7 years. (Before that, I was an Executive Assistant, so sometimes help care clients with office tasks as well! :) I absolutely love being a caregiver and assisting with everything that makes life safer and happier for my seniors, such as hygiene (including some pretty sharp haircuts!), mobility. PT, housework, cooking, etc. My experience includes Alzheimer's care, hospice, toileting, catheters, medication, pet care, grocery runs, and of course friendship and games (specializing in Scrabble :) I am First Aid / CPR certified through the American Red Cross to be prepared for emergencies. *Just a note about my current schedule: I'm currently assisting a hospice person on weekday mornings, but can add a 2 or 3 hour shift on one or two mornings or afternoons in the West County area. Please feel free to message me if this sounds like a good fit, or if you'd like to see a full resume.
I needed help caring for my mother, who is in the beginning stages of dementia and is diabetic. I came across Beth's profile and set up an interview. As soon as we met her, we knew she would be a great fit! She is kind, personable and a hard worker! My mom loves spending time with her! Beth has helped with medication, light housekeeping and working with my mom on improving her speech after a mild stroke. I can't say enough good things about her! Our family feels blessed to have her as my mom's caregiver!
