About Bethany

Hello there! My name is Bethany S. and I am a 26-year-old second grade teacher. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2018 (gig em')! As a second grade teacher, I currently teach all core subjects. However, I taught 7th and 8th grade science and served as a head girls athletics coach for 2 years before making the switch to elementary. Prior to attending college I served 60+ hours as a tutor to other students through my high schools national honor society. I was also chosen to be hired as a tutor for my schools AVID program my senior year of high school. This role required me to serve as a mentor and tutor freshman honors students in all subjects. That role was what really sparked my love of teaching and I quickly realized it was my calling! I strongly believe that every child deserves an opportunity to receive a quality education, despite any potential barriers.
