About Bethany

In eighth grade I became a peer tutor and immediately fell in love working with people with disabilities. While I have only had 1 and a half years of paid experience, I have been a volunteer for 5. I have two siblings with disabilities, which has given me lots of experience working with adults and kids with disabilities. I help one of my siblings out in the community, and am a coach at an adaptive theater program both as a one-on-one and general coach. I am comfortable with many physical, emotional, and behavioral needs. I have experience with emotional regulation skills. I have experience helping my grandma around including assistance with folding and loading her walker, assisting her with groceries, driving her to and from appointments, and helping her up stairs with railings. I have experience with people with wheelchairs-both manual and electric- pushing them in wheelchairs as well. I have experience helping my friend who is blind and helping other friends up stairs and steps.
