About Bethany

I began tutoring in 2010, when a Care.com member's high school daughter required assistance in long distance advanced studies in the following subjects: political science, economics, and US History. Recently I have been assisting a family member in Algebra I and another family member in Personal Computer Tutoring (scan disk, de-fragmentation, registry clean, setting up favorites with Mozilla browser, teaching how to scan, upload and email photos and more). In addition to training others, I have expertise in a broad range of subjects having obtained a Bachelor's Degree in 2008 with emphasis on the following coursework: Advanced Legal (Business Law, Contract Law, Real Estate Law, Corporate Law); Administrative, Procedural, and Constitutional Law; Personnel Administration (HR compliance issues); Public Budgeting; Public Administration; and MS Word, Publisher, Power Point, Excel and Access. I also can create and maintain websites built with templates. I enjoy teaching others new things, and being an encourager and positive motivator in the learning process. You can expect a patient, kind, and enthusiastic teacher/trainer who loves mentoring others as well as learning from her students. I am available currently on Tuesdays and Fridays - flexible time, or Monday, Wednesday and Thursday after 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Minors must be accompanied by an adult or guardian at their home, or we could meet at the local public library. Adult students, I can meet in their home or at my residence located in South Sarasota County. Tutoring rate does not cover books or other teaching material costs.
