About Bethany

Hi! I'm a single mom who left the full-time workforce a few years ago to pursue my PhD and focus on parenting. My 11-year-old came to me through foster care after a rough first two months of life, born too early with an extensive and daunting medical file. I researched a lot about medically complicated infant care while I was licensing to be a foster parent, and then learned even more as I navigated us through his first months home from the hospital. Now, 11 years later, I'd love to be a support for new families navigating the transition to parenthood. I have two years of full-time live-in nannying experience, and many more years of experience working in child care centers and babysitting occasionally. My son and I both enjoyed the opportunity to watch some friends' little ones over the past couple of years with regularity (1-2 times a week), but they moved last fall and I miss the nice change of pace and focus that it gave me to care for them and support their little family!
