Hi, I have worked as a caregiver for almost 3 years now and find it extremely rewarding. I love the in-home environment because it allows me to give seniors the one-on-one attention they deserve. As a caregiver, I provide companionship and compassion to those with emotional and physical needs. I learned a great deal of experience in caring for adults with Alzheimer's and dementia while working in memory care. I provide assistance with mobility, meal prep, transportation, and dressing. Bernie was the perfect person to help with my 96 year old mother. She was gentle, supportive and caring with all of mom’s needs. Whenever there was a sudden change in plans, Bernie was able to shift and fill-in as needed. Because I was not nearby, Bernie was as helpful to me as she was to mom. She kept me updated on mom and checked in with me when there was a question. She really got to know mom and what she liked and didn’t like and they became good friends in the process. I absolutely recommend her for anyone needing that extra support for an elderly parent.
