About Bernadette

My first babysitting job was when I was 14 years old. Since then, I have had 8 years of experience in child care. I am a rising senior at Loyola University, New Orleans. While at school, I babysit 2 boys (1 and 3 years old), but I have experience with a wide range of ages, and am comfortable with watching more than 2 kids at once. I am patient and creative. I like to do crafts, play outside and play imaginatively with the kids I watch. Whenever the kids are having fun, I am too, but safety is my main priority. I would never do something a parent would not OK, and I go by parent guidelines always. I have had experience with different parenting styles/ routines. I have found that families have different rules and various levels of structure, and I stick to what that is for each family. I have worked from young ages who need a routine for naps, bottles, diaper changes etc., to older kids who are more independent and choose which kind of activities they would like to do.
