About Berlyn

I am a certified elementary educator with a Bachelors and a Masters degree in education and several years of classroom intervention experience. I taught 1st grade for 3 years where I provided instruction across all subjects. I also have experience as a Reading Intervention specialist where I provided targeted literacy instruction in small groups or one-on-one. I hold active teaching certificates in both Texas and Washington state. Reading instruction is my passion and I believe every child can succeed with the right support, encouragement, and individualized approach. I enjoy creating supportive environments where students feel comfortable to take risks and celebrate progress. I would be happy to have the opportunity to tutor your child and help to strengthen their love for learning.
