About Berkeley

For over a decade, I've cultivated engaging and supportive learning environments for elementary students. My teaching philosophy centers on patience and adapting to each child's unique learning style. I achieve this by varying my teaching strategies with visual aids, hands-on activities, discussions, and practice problems. Regular parental check-ins and feedback are important to me. Connecting challenging topics to real-world examples, celebrating small successes, and consistent positive reinforcement keep my students motivated. Communication builds trust and collaboration; regular updates keep parents informed and reinforce learning at home. As a certified teacher, I am experienced with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504). Helping a student achieve better grades is the most rewarding aspect of my work. I'm excited to bring my passion for Math and English to your family.
