I worked for a Summer Camp since I was in high school, so I have had lots of experience with kids. I also grew up caring for my sister, who is now in her 20s. Two jobs I took were specifically for caring for boys, because there is a shortage of males in the education (and related childcare work) field. In both cases, I was assigned to the boy because he had had little success with female aides in the past. What I love most about working with children is unlocking the potential within each one of them! I believe in having respect for children's development. Sometimes that means being firm, other times, it means nurturing how they feel, and teaching them how to be good citizens. I am comfortable with helping a home function at a high level. I am used to keeping a classroom clean (as well as my own home), I cook for myself, and have my own car. Can't wait to hear from you! ben
