We first hired Marianna’s math tutor during the second semester of 7th grade, when she was struggling significantly and failing math. With his help, she was able to turn things around and successfully finish the school year. We were so pleased with her progress that we continued working with him throughout 8th grade. By the end of that school year, Marianna had earned an A in math—a tremendous improvement from where she started when we first hired him. He continues to tutor her now in 9th grade. He is patient, dependable, and has a great ability to explain math concepts in a way that Marianna understands. More importantly, he focuses on helping her understand how to work through problems rather than simply helping her complete assignments. Over the years, we have seen a noticeable improvement in both her math skills and her confidence. Going from failing math in 7th grade to earning an A by the end of 8th grade speaks volumes about the quality of his tutoring and the relationship he has built with her. We have been extremely pleased with him and highly recommend him to any family looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and effective math tutor.
