About Benjamin

Hi, I'm Ben, a professional trumpet player finishing my BA in Music Performance. I plan to pursue a Masters program, become a college professor, and continue playing! Performing at the National Trumpet Competition, playing solo cornet in brass bands, and performing in various jazz and wind ensembles has helped make me versatile across many genres. As a teacher, this helped me better accommodate to each students likes. I love teaching because seeing my students succeed feels like a personal win. Whether it's a first song or a big audition, I help students find and reach their goals. My approach to teaching is very flexible. I know everyone pursues music differently and no two people can put in the same amount of time. However, I believe with efficient practice even a couple minutes daily will make a huge difference. I teach students to identify and solve problems with their playing, a skill that extends beyond trumpet. I work with all ages and skill levels. Reach out for more info!
