About Bendu

Hi! I'm a patient, compassionate, and attentive caregiver with over a decade of experience caring for children, ranging from newborns to teens. My journey began in 2011 with my cousin's child, and I've since supported my nieces, nephews, other families. Most recently I worked as a social work counselor intern for middle school students. I'm currently pursuing a master's in Social Work and Public Health at Columbia University, where I continue to deepen my understanding of emotional development and ways to best support children and families. I love working with kids because they bring such joy into the world. I aim to build strong, trusting relationships with the families I support. I'm receptive to feedback, open-minded, and deeply value clear communication. In my free time, I enjoy drawing, painting, baking, making jewelry, and staying active. I'm skilled at preparing healthy meals, planning fun and creative activities, and tuning into each child's emotional needs.
