About Belen

Belen was our son's nanny from around 4 months to 18 months, and we feel so incredibly lucky that he was able to spend that time with her!! As a mother of three herself, Belen has a wealth of experience in addition to the countless hours she has spent babysitting and helping with friends' and relatives' babies, and I always felt as though our son was in extremely capable and knowledgeable hands. Belen also brings great energy and joy with her, and it's clear how much she loves spending time with babies. She treated my son as if he were her own, and my son just adored her. To this day (he's now 3.5), he gets SO excited anytime Belen comes to visit us. He will ask me to dig out the toys and books and flashcards that they used together, and he is overjoyed to relive his time with her. Belen is also extremely hardworking and always volunteered to help with more than direct childcare. She helped with cleaning pump parts/bottles, prepared food for him once he started eating, cleaned all his toys and supplies, and more. Everything was always very clean when Belen was here, and I never really asked her to do any of it. Belen is fluent in both Spanish and English, which was important to us because we really want our kids to be bilingual. She spoke to our son almost exclusively in Spanish, and it was incredible to see how well he picked it up. He's currently in a Spanish immersion preschool and doing great, and I'm sure that's in large part due to his time with Belen when he was very young. Ultimately Belen became like a member of our family, and we were so sad when she was unable to continue as our nanny. She is loving, responsible, energetic, fun, and just an all-around wonderful person. Anyone would be lucky to have her care for their baby!
