Sometimes a little assistance is needed for elderly people to stay in their homes. I would like to help them stay in their own homes as long as it is physically possible. Please note that I literally will not schedule anything more than 2 hours in advance. I'm a willing heart without experience (just being honest). My care would not include lifting or driving the senior. I would drive to your home. If your mom isn't comfortable having someone come in to the home because 'she doesn't need help' I'd be happy to come in for another purpose. Maybe she could teach me something and feel like that's why I'm there. I could load & unload the dishwasher or do laundry. Or maybe be there to care for the pets. Whatever is helpful, just let me know. Please note that everything I offer to do is at the last minute. My help would be used as a backup (most likely) since I don't schedule anything. If you think that you can use my help, we will need to meet ahead of time so that we're all set for when things come up. I've been helping a young senior with cerebral palsy since September 2011 ( as an on call back up.).
