About Becca

I have 15 years of experience providing childcare from infancy to adolescence. This includes 10 years of professional teaching experience in a variety of settings, including preschools and public school classrooms. The bulk of my work has been in early childhood education (18 months-5 years.) I am currently seeking a transition out of the classroom to serve individual families. I love using music (I play the ukulele!), storytelling (through books and puppetry) and outdoor exploration to connect with babies and children. I believe that healthy, safe boundaries support independence and curiosity. I enjoy working with caregivers to understand their goals for their children and to build a plan that supports those goals. I received my B. A. in Child & Adolescent Development from SFSU, and I'm completing an M. A. in Language & Literacy at CSU Sacramento. When I'm not working with kids, you can find me birdwatching at Tilden Park, doing a jigsaw puzzle, or baking extravagant desserts.
