About Becca

I recently moved to Ann Arbor from Virginia and am a Master of Social Work student at U of M. I hold a Bachelors degree in Sociology from Virginia Tech. I grew up always surrounded by animals of all kinds - from furry and scaly, in nature and on a farm. I am a cat mom myself and have a 1-year-old, adorable and spicy, domestic long hair named Gus! I spent years working as a farm hand caring for farm animals of all kinds. I grew up in the 4-H program where I showed dairy cattle and goats, later to mentor young people in livestock showmanship. I have other experience caring for dogs, small mammals and reptiles. I would describe my personality as bubbly, compassionate and patient. I love working with animals because no day is ever the same! I love getting to know their individual personalities and believe in the power of the human animal bond. In my spare time, I like to read, practice yoga, and go to concerts.
