About Barbie

My name is Renee. Although I have a B. A. in English Lit and in Communications, and an A. O. S. In Culinary Arts, and have often worked in both fields, I LOVE taking care of children and their families! I find it to be the most rewarding and challenging, and I believe it to be THE most significant calling. To me, there is nothing more important than being a consistent, reliable, loving care-giver of children. I pride myself in creating new and exciting ways to teach and nurture children, knowing that each child is different from the next and deserves to be treated as an individual. I strive to always be fair, but firm and I believe consistency IS key to teaching a child. I love exposing children to new and different activities and always strive to keep things fun and exciting. I would MUCH rather do artistic activities and/or activities outdoors, as opposed to the use of computer/TV to "babysit" children. I also believe reading to be paramount in learning.
